Civil War follow up

All year, Oregon football fans look forward to the Civil War matchup against our rivals at Oregon State. This year, it didn’t promise to be a very good game..and it wasn’t. We came out on the winning end of it, which is all that mattered.

The party was at my place after some unexpected flooding on Tequila Hill. I think everyone had a good time. There was a lot of laughing going on.

The tailgater booze tote came up from Eugene. The pirate and cocktail flags flew. The skeleton was all dressed up for Christmas on the front porch, and guests were greeted by Captain Jack Sparrow.

Elsie made friends with Thomas, Mr. Squeeeks and “Cocky,” the sisters were sisterly, we tried really hard to find a way for Jonny to be black, I got to stockpile hugs for the future, and we ate and drank very well. Some people went to bed very, very early.

Best of all, I got to spend time with my family of friends, which is always a good thing. No one knows better people than I do, and I love them.

In the morning, there was Rock Java, breakfast and Bloody Mary time with the Boyz from Ruined Mothers before they returned to Eugene.

It’s a beautiful cold, sunny day. My house is trashed. I need to do laundry. I need a nap. It was a successful night.

Remind me to get that soup recipe from GingerBelle…

Thanks for continuing to make my life a good one, my friends.
