Closely followed\u2014in view of the overall shortage of time\u2014by patience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Christopher Hitchens<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Actions are the first tragedy in life, words are the second. Words are perhaps the worst. Words are merciless.<\/p>\n<p>\u2013Oscar Wilde<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Moist.<br \/>\nI think everyone is with me on this one. We should come up with a word that we all like better.<\/p>\n<p>Prejudice.<br \/>\nMy problem with prejudice, aside from the existence of it, is with the spelling. I want there to be a g in there like there is in \u201cjudge\u201d, and there isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>Gift.<br \/>\nTo be precise, I dislike the use of the word gift as a verb. There is a perfectly good verb we can use instead: to give. I have no objection to receiving any gifts. I am willing to entertain the use of the word re-gift.<br \/>\nPhlegm and mucous.<br \/>\nNeed I explain further? I didn\u2019t think so.<\/p>\n<p>Words commonly abused.<br \/>\nClarity. Balance. Definitive. No, not just because definitively achieving clarity about the lack of balance in my life evades me completely.<\/p>\n<p>Irony.<br \/>\nOnly when used as a synonym for bummer. When used properly, it\u2019s a great word.<\/p>\n<p>Probing.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s just say I had an appointment with my doctor and she wants me to have some very personal tests done.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oddly, I love the word dissonance. Oddly because sounds like it should mean the opposite.opposite of dissonant? Dissonance is sibilant.
