Sometimes in order to get through something you do things that might be out of character. Or even things you think are wrong. Wrong with a capital W, even. Drink, drugs, general sexual knavery. <\/p>\n

Sometimes? It’s understandable. We all have days and nights where we’re just kind of holding on by the fingernails. Trying not to fall off the precipice. Or jump off.<\/p>\n

If a drug fueled night of sexual knavery keeps you here another day, and nothing else would? You do what you have to do. It’s not great as a long term plan, but if it’s an emotional emergency? Maybe it’s all that will work.<\/p>\n

Or maybe your thing isn’t sexual malfeasance, but drinking or drugs. Whatever. If it keeps you from doing something even more desperate than the drinking and drugs? Go for it. On a temporary basis.<\/p>\n

Then, when the immediate crisis is past. Call someone. Get help. Figure out how to deal with it in some way.<\/p>\n

Because band-aiding whatever it is with booze, drugs and sex is only sustainable for short periods of time.<\/p>\n

Uh. I hear.<\/p>\n

Sexual Knavery would be a good band name though.<\/p>\n

Aside:
\nOn Sunday, WordPress notified me that it was the 7 year anniversary of when I signed up with them. I’ve actually been writing on the blog for…oh…I don’t know…10 months or so.<\/p>\n

So you could say that it has taken me 7 years to write 152,000 words. That’s about 1800 words a month. Or, you could say that it’s taken me 10 months, or 15,200 words a month.<\/p>\n

Either would be true.
\nI wonder if I will get to 200,000 by July when I’ll have been doing this for a year? I mean, without cheating. <\/p>\n

It’s a good thing WordPress is free.
\nIt’s an even better thing that I don’t depend on words for money.<\/p>\n

Anyway, that’s a lot of words for anyone to write. Even if there’s not a lot of point to most of them. Especially since I’ve spent most of my life keeping them all in.<\/p>\n
