I don’t understand. what’s beyond your comprehension. It’s a fairly standard bedroom. Maybe a little messier than some. <\/p>\n

I thought you were an atheist. <\/p>\n

Yeah, so? I’m not allowed to decorate if I’m an atheist?<\/p>\n

So what’s with the God wall?<\/p>\n

It’s more of a wall of superstition. <\/p>\n

Madonnas and saints?<\/p>\n

And a few crosses. Maybe an ankh. <\/p>\n

In your bedroom. <\/p>\n

They go with the color scheme. They’re shiny. They’re aesthetically pleasing. <\/p>\n

You don’t think it’s weird for an atheist to have a whole wall full of religious art in the most personal room in her house?<\/p>\n

Not really. It would be weird for me to have a Bible or a rosary on my bedside table. It would be weird for me to say my prayers at night or go to church on Sunday. Art is just art. Some of it is superstition–Chinese lucky coins, and Middle Eastern evil eye charms…<\/p>\n
