Not that I’m quite there yet, but while I have been too distracted by life to do any intelligent writing, I’ve been thinking about all of the positive things about dating at the point where you really start to like someone.<\/p>\n

  3. Them catching you doing the same<\/li>\n
  4. That dopey look you get when you catch each other at it<\/li>\n
  5. Blushing<\/li>\n
  6. Stammering<\/li>\n
  7. Figuring out what you like and don’t like together<\/li>\n
  8. Everything you learn about them is something new<\/li>\n
  9. Finding out what makes them laugh<\/li>\n
  10. Finding out if they are cheerful or grumpy before coffee<\/li>\n
  11. Meeting their friends<\/li>\n
  12. Them meeting your friends<\/li>\n
  13. New activities you each bring<\/li>\n
  14. That indefinable swoony feeling<\/li>\n
  15. Figuring out if they like to be bitten…and where<\/li>\n
  16. The first road trip<\/li>\n
  17. Trying to sleep in the same bed the first time<\/li>\n
  18. Listening to each other’s favorite music<\/li>\n
  19. Reading each other’s favorite books<\/li>\n
  20. Watching each other’s favorite movies<\/li>\n
  21. Throwing quotes from favorite mutual favorite books, music and movies at each other<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In an incidental note of gratitude, I had my first beer sitting outside on a patio in NW Portland after work today with Paddy. Beautiful, beautiful weather. Paddy, I was supposed to do the buying and totally forgot..thanks! And I still owe you birthday beers when you get back from the tropics.<\/p>\n
