The importance of matching your drink to your outfit

We were gallivanting around a week or two ago when someone said “it’s really important for your drink to match your outfit.”

Who was it? Dawn? It sounds like Dawn. It could have been Chelle. Hmmm. I think Lillie ordered a Mimosa, and then Dawn ordered one and Chelle commented on it matching.

I scribbled out a note about the importance of matching your drink to your outfit because I thought it was a cute idea.

We were talking about it later, and this is what the 5 year old had to say on the topic:
“I love wine.
Is Nana 17 right now? I thought she was 26.”

So that insight was valuable.

Anyway.

I am glad that it isn’t really important to match your drink to your outfit. I would be screwed because I almost always wear black. How do you match your drink to black? I’d be doomed to a lifetime of nothing but stouts and porters. Maybe the occasional Black Russian. Omigod, how long has it been since I have had a Black Russian?

Side note: do you suppose there are many actual black people in Russia?
Google says 40-70,000 black and mixed race people out of a population of around 143 million. So basically, no, there are not really any black people in Russia.

Or maybe I would buy clothes that match a different sort of drink. It could be good for my wardrobe.

What color goes with IPA?
